13 years ago I was diagnosed as disabled. My Doctors recommended I look into getting a service dog but after contacting multiple programs the wait list was 4 years and I just could not wait that long. After lots of research I found out that you were protected under the ADA to self train your own service dog.
I started to do my research and found every book on dog training spent hours on YouTube and working with professional trainers, went to a number of training seminars and trained my first service dog. Once my service dog was fully trained I realized how passionate I was about training and was a natura so I decided to find a company to work for and my dog training career began.
It has become my mission to help get service dogs to those in need as I know the impact my service dogs have done for me. 22 veterans a day lose their battle to mental health and I am doing my part to make a difference. That number is much higher, if we can help get service dogs to veterans we can help save lives.
