My name is Zuko Bueno a U.S Marine Combat Veteran deployed to Iraq. Like many of my brothers and sisters we came home struggling with our mental health. Adjusting to civilian life and no mental health help, quality of life for myself and the loved ones around me became very difficult. I seeked out help with counseling and that did not seem to make a difference. After years of intense treatment and no improvement in my mental health my therapist recommended a service dog. That is how I became a handler, trainer and now business owner. My journey as a handler began in 2010 and shortly after realized that this was my calling. I began working with organizations to further my education and knowledge, so I could one day open my own organization to not only help civilians but veterans and first responders as well. And that's how Sable Warriors was born.

During my many years of training, I got my education from Leerburg University, attended Michael Ellis workshops and countless of other service dog training seminars. I am a certified service dog trainer as well as certified in proper use of training tools, as a means of communication along with behavioral modification.

I've worked with dogs my entire life. I have 2 dogs, Willow my owner trained multipurpose service dog and Jezzebel who is my retired service dog and still training. Both of my dogs are trick title holders as well. I strive to do more with my dogs and still learning. I stand by the saying, a mentally enriched dog is a happy dog. I would consider myself a Lima trainer. I choose a minimally invasive approach first and work up if necessary. I am starting the journey in service dog training and puppy raising prospects. I have been working with Sable warriors for the past year and have Passed all Sable warrior Certifications. I look forward to getting your service dog their potential.
